Netherlands Student Visa

Eligibility Requirements
- Admission letter from a recognized Dutch educational institution
- Completed MVV application (for stays over 90 days)
- Proof of sufficient financial means
- Valid health insurance
- TB test certificate (for certain nationalities)
- English or Dutch language proficiency
Financial Requirements
You must demonstrate sufficient funds:
- Approximately €12,000 per year for living expenses
- Proof of paid tuition fees or scholarship
- Bank guarantee or sponsor letter accepted
Work Rights
Non-EU students can work up to 16 hours per week during the academic year or full-time during June, July, and August. Work permits are required but often arranged by employers.
Orientation Year Permit
Graduates can apply for an Orientation Year (zoekjaar) permit, allowing 1 year to find skilled employment. After finding suitable work, you can transition to a Highly Skilled Migrant visa with a reduced salary requirement.
