- University admission letter (Zulassungsbescheid)
- Proof of financial resources (blocked account)
- Valid health insurance coverage
- German or English language proficiency
- Valid passport with minimum 6 months validity
- Clean criminal record
Financial Requirements
You must open a blocked account (Sperrkonto) with:
- €11,904 per year (€992 per month) for living expenses
- Funds must be blocked and released monthly
- Scholarship letter can replace blocked account
Work Rights
International students can work 120 full days or 240 half days per year. Students can also work unlimited hours during semester breaks. Academic assistants may work unlimited hours.
Post-Study Opportunities
After graduation, students receive an 18-month Job Seeker Visa to find employment. Once employed, you can apply for an EU Blue Card or residence permit for qualified professionals, leading to permanent settlement.
